I'm Noora 

Originally from Helsinki, Finland, I moved to Scotland in 2017 to pursue my studies and have since made it my permanent home. In 2022, I completed a Master’s in Film Editing at Screen Academy Scotland and Edinburgh Napier University.

I specialise in documentary editing, driven by a deep curiosity for the human psyche, feminism, a commitment to environmental and conservation issues, and a passion for stories that illuminate our shared humanity. Alongside documentaries, I also work as a short scripted drama editor, bringing the same sensitivity and narrative focus to all my work.

I’ve contributed to multiple feature documentaries as an assistant editor, organising and preparing extensive multi-year footage archives to give directors and editors a seamless start. My strengths lie in detailed project organisation, strong technical ability, and creative problem-solving.

 

I’m currently an edit assistant at Hopscotch Films, where I support the post of each production, while also dabbling in graphic design, archive upresing the digitisation of analogue media.

Beyond editing, I create motion graphics and VFX for kinetic titles, web visuals, short animated pieces, and social media assets. No matter the form, my work centres on thoughtful storytelling and amplifying perspectives that too often go unheard.
